CT/X Ray Technologist - Traveler/Floater ABOUT US Diagnostic

patients. LOCATION: Float between 1034 E. Hwy 67, Duncanville, TX
75137 & 2210 Paddock Way, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Accepting
applicants who wish to travel to more locations as needed! Mileage
between locations is reimbursed in accordance with IRS guidelines.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, Outpatient Center setting &
operating hours. PAY: Commensurate on work experience, skills, and
market rates JOB SUMMARY The CT/X-Ray Technologist is expected to
deliver the highest direct and indirect patient care possible.
Performs CT scan examinations to provide cross-sectional images and
complex data for determining medical treatment/diagnosis. Follow
proper patient protocol as set by the radiologist. Performs
procedures on all CT equipment including routine, specialty
studies. Coordinates patient flow through the department. Assists
in duties necessary to expedite service and diagnosis. DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of equipment
capabilities. Adjusts techniques and parameters as necessary to
obtain high quality results. Demonstrates the ability to operate CT
equipment. Follows departmental procedure manual to ensure that all
standard scanning views are taken; refers to the requisition for
any special instructions from the physician or Radiologist; always
scans completely. Ensures exams are complete in RIS and properly
transferred on PACS. Can order, edit and complete in RIS. Always
maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures; regularly
practices aseptic techniques and strictly obeys isolations and
infection control procedures; prevents cross contamination during
scanning procedures. Always verifies the appropriate procedure to
be performed by checking the physician's orders on the patient's
chart with the requisition and contacts the physician if there are
any discrepancies. Demonstrates an ability to solve job-related
problems such as: equipment malfunctions, alternate patient
positioning, different views, and the realization of equipment and
patient limitations. Regularly checks equipment, accessories, and
supplies; keeps area stocked at all times; cleans and disinfects
equipment after each patient use; cleans CT scanning area daily.
Maintaining QC & QA equipment/log in area/ Maintains Equipment
Preventive Maintenance. Regularly performs basic nursing functions
in patient care; assumes care for physical and psychological needs
of the patient during the scanning procedures; initiates basic life
support measures for patients if necessary; knows CPR; and knows
the location and operation of life support systems kept within the
department. Demonstrates a working knowledge of PACS, computer
systems and hospital information system. Preceptor for New
Employees/ Train personnel in the use of PACS. Follows all safety
rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects
minor safety hazards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : High School diploma/GED
Graduate of an approved AMA educational program in Radiologic
Technology EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1 year experience as Radiologic
Technologist in diagnostic radiology or hospital setting is
preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: ARRT
certified and Licensed by TDH Current CPR required SPECIAL
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: The CT Technologist
should have the ability to work independently as required. Should
demonstrate the ability and self-confidence to make decisions. Must
have good interpersonal skills. Must have a good understanding of
patient pathology, with the ability to change scanning protocols as
